Name: Heather Linda Dick
Job Description: Brow Stylist // Make-Up Artist
Star Sign: Leo
When did you start at Linton and Mac: December 2015 - after my year out in Malaysia, I came on board on a self employed basis. Then I went off on maternity for a while - and now I'm back! Since 24th June, I am official a Linton & Mac employee, working Thursdays and Saturdays
What was your very first job: a waitress in a hotel in Portsoy on the weekends - I was terrible!
What was your path to Linton and Mac: I wasn't great at school, so my options at 15/16 were hairdresser or beautician - all of my friends did hairdressing, so I decided to go down the beautician route! I went to college in Elgin for three years, and when I qualified at 18, I went and worked on the cruise ships - cruising the west coast of America, from LA to Mexico. My cruise ship career ended when my mum passed away quite suddenly when I was 21. After this, I moved to Aberdeen - it was here I met J Mac and the rest of the crew, working at Ishoka. Me and Mac were best buds from the start! I met Darryl and after 10 years working in Aberdeen, I took a year and followed him and his job to Asia. We travelled for a whole year, based in Malaysia to Japan, Cambodia, Bali, Thailand and Vietnam - when we arrived home in November 2015, we came back to the empire that is Linton & Mac!
What are your highlights of working at Linton ad Mac so far: i do just love working with my friends! And of course, perusing my love of make-up again... i really enjoy it:)

If you could have any one else in the salons style for one day, who's would you steal and why: Chelsea - she's just so confident with her out there style... it comes so naturally to her...
Worst hair day and why: at youth club, when I was 14 - my friend (the kinda cool friend you don't say no to) said she would do it - my mum was furious! And there was the time I had a spiral perm - I think I was 9 years old... it was the 80's after all!!
Where do you see yourself in five years time: hopefully with another baby... still working in the industry - I'll be 41, oh my! I'll be married... and fingers crossed, living in a fully furnished house please!!

What single individual has taught you most in life and what have you learned from them: Can I say two?!? Firstly, Dylan - since becoming his mum he inspires me daily to be the best version of myself that I can possibly be. Watching the world through his innocent eyes makes me want to present to him the most positive outlook on life and all the wonderful things that it has to offer. And secondly my mum Linda - I see so much of her in me as I've grown and even more now that I am a mum too. She taught me to be kind and thoughtful of others - and how important it is to be able to laugh at yourself... I aspire to be just like her as a mother myself
