LINTON & MAC HOSTS ALTERNATIVE ‘NOT YOUR AVERAGE WEDDING’ EVENT
Last Sunday 14th January, we teamed up with a bunch of exciting local businesses to host our first ever wedding event "Not Your Average Wedding". The event, brought together a creative collaboration of some of the best and most interesting small businesses in Aberdeen.
Held at the super cool events space Unit 51, brides and grooms were surrounded by inspirational ideas and products to ensure that their upcoming big day would be as Pinterest-ably perfect and uniquely Instagram-able as can be!
The day kicked off with local singer Paul Black and a welcome drinks reception from Ori-Gins pop up bar. Guests were treated to a fizz cocktail, served with a fresh flower and kirby grip! -alongside a chance to spectate at a live "behind-the-scenes" with Linton & Mac. Make-up artists and hair-stylists were finishing brides as they would on the morning of your big day.
There was then a fashion show from Linton & Mac, showcasing dresses from Ivory Grace Bridal and alternative dress ideas from The Closet Vintage, covering all eras from 1900 to the 1980's!
The boys didn't go without inspiration also - with every-era-suits from The Closet Vintage and also in full kilted glory, from Alex Scott and Co. kilt makers.
The fashion show was a huge success - using everyday accessable models, of all ages, shapes and sizes - everyone strutted their stuff to some soul and disco classics from DJ Kev Reid!
Edinburgh based covers band Manhattan rounded off the afternoon, as brides and grooms to be browsed the various exhibitors stalls - discussing ideas and dreams and booking all the elements to making their perfect day!

Linton & Mac Weddings
Aside from collaboration, we wanted to use the event to launch our exciting new Wedding Packages at Linton & Mac.
From January 2018, our talented team will be offering pre-bridal hair and beauty services, ‘Groomed Groom’ treatments, Hen Party packages, and Wedding Day services for the whole bridal party that can be held in the salon or on location.
There was a fantastic vibe and the feedback that we have received from the brides and grooms so far has been brilliant! Not only was the event a great success, but all proceeds from the ticket sales are to go to local cancer charity Friends of Anchor.
