GHD held their annual auditions, where young risings stars get the opportunity to show their skills, in the hope of making the GHD Style Squad.
This year's open auditions were held at the Pro Hair Live Show event, down in Manchester early last week.
Abbie made the trip with Ms Linton & Ms Mac, excited to show her skills alongside some of the best emerging talents in the UK.
As Creative Brand Ambassador for GHD, the super inspirational Zoe Irwin kicked off the day with a seminar. Sharing her up and coming trends ready to make an impact on 2018.
She broke it down into a few different target styles, such as "Glam Seeker", "Confident Creator" and "Style Leader" - showing how to achieve the looks and then giving the young audience time to go away and practice her trend forecasts.
Abbie had 1 hour to acheive her look, which drew inspiration from Trevor Sorbie's Artistic Team, using elastics sewn into the hair.
As she worked, the GHD Style Warriors and current Style Squad, did the rounds asking questions and observing everyone's different styles and techniques. Zoe Irwin also worked the room, quizing each and every one of the young hopefuls.
We are so proud of our Abbie, she's one of our babies who started as an assistant when we first opened the doors of Linton and Mac.
This type of event, give our stylists a real insight into the industry - helping them build their confidence and individuality as artist and future talents in this amazing arena of creativity.
...we've got everything crossed!
peace and love
