Recognised for our outstanding marketing strategy, we are one of just six UK hairdressing companies in the running to win the Marketing Campaign of the Year award, sponsored by Phorest Salon Software - this category celebrates the best communicators in the hairdressing industry!

To be named as a finalist in the Marketing Campaign of the Year category confirms just how exceptional the team at Linton & Mac is. They have crafted an amazing, multi-layered communications plan, that brings existing customers closer, and new ones through the door. It takes a brilliant and strategic mind to link all aspects of promotions together and really shows an understanding of the market and how people are starting to change how they interact with businesses.

Marketing is such a worthwhile investment. When combined with quality customer care and great hair service, it’s a magic mix. Word of mouth recommendation is obviously powerful, but outward facing marketing creates momentum and helps create value for our offering. It’s fun to come up with ideas too. We’re delighted to be nominated!
— Autumn Robinson, brand coordinator Linton & Mac

Connor Keppel, VP Marketing at Phorest Salon Software says: “Receiving a finalist place is a phenomenal feat. Marketing is not to be underestimated – it is absolutely core to the success of a business. Linton & Mac showcased how marketing can be incorporated into the heart of a company and then breed phenomenal engagement from the consumer.“

The category celebrates a single independent venture with an annual turnover of more than £350,000 that is excelling in all aspects of business.

Showing strength across the board, we stood out for our proven business growth, customer care and marketing strategy. Our in-house training policies and our individual eye for assessing team performance and policies on making improvements further set us apart from the competition.

To be named a finalist in the Salon of the Year category confirms just how exceptional the team at Linton & Mac is. To win this award, teams need to show wide-reaching excellence. We are looking for financial health, strong customer relations, an intelligent and creative marketing campaign, and systems that care for the team and ensure their professional development. This company certainly showed all these elements and stood out as a very impressive business. We wish them the best of luck.

These awards are so special, the longest standing and most prestigious industry business event - we are so thankful to be shortlisted with some of the biggest names in hairdressing. Marketing our salon with love and passion has always been at the heart of Linton & Mac and to be recognised for all of our efforts over the last few years is a huge honour!

According to the National Hairdressers’ Federation Industry statistics for 2018, there are currently over 287,000 people work within the hairdressing, barbering and beauty industries in the UK, contributing over £7bn to the economy each year.

It’s an ever expanding industry too, with over a third of salons in 2018 (41%) noting that their turnover had increased from the previous year - and we are super proud to be a part of that.

Back in 2017 we shortlisted for Independent Salon Business Newcomer, and we only went and won it! This category celebrated the best in new independent salons, under two years old. So to make the shortlist for Salon of the Year having only been open for five years in September, would be absolutely amazing!
